Tissue distribution
In humans, OCT1 is predominantly expressed in the liver (Gorboulev et al. 1997; Zhang et al. 1997).
Substrates
- Pentamidine is a substrate of OCT1 (Ming et al. 2009).
Inhibitors
- Pentamidine is a potent inhibitor for all three OCT isoforms: OCT1, OCT2, and OCT3 (Ming et al. 2009).
